New Promotions for November!

Hey everybody! Sorry I've been MIA lately. I sprained my ankle this past week, and have been taking it easy and trying to recover. I'm off crutches now, but still not completely back in the swing of things, so it might be a while before I can take and post new pictures.

There is a new promotion that I am incredibly excited about for November! If you buy any three sets of our designer papers at $9.95 each, you'll get one set free! There are so many beautiful sets on pages 170-173 of the Winter catalog, as well as a couple of sets available in the mini catalog. With a new retirement rapidly approaching, I am looking forward to using this promo to stock up on all of my favorite double sided paper sets!

We also have a special deal on one of our stamp sets. The 'Wishing You Cheer' stamp set (on page 33 of the Winter catalog) is 20% off until November 3rd - making it $11.16 before shipping and taxes. If anybody is interested in purchasing this set at the discount, please let me know by 7pm November 3rd.

Also remember that the Winter Glitz packages are still available (see my earlier post for details on that special) so please contact me if you are interested in purchasing a kit, as they are available only until supplies are gone.

I have a busy week ahead, but hope to be able to post details about next month's technique class soon, so be looking for that. Thanks everybody!

Spectrum Class Project

As promised, here is one of the projects we will be making at the spectrum pad technique class on the 25th (see my earlier blog post for more details). Hope to see you there!

November Technique Class - Using Spectrum Pads

Hi everybody!

Sorry I am so late in getting this information out to you all. It's been a busy couple of weeks!

This month's technique class will be the various uses of spectrum pads. The class will be held October 25th at 7:00pm. I am hoping to have pictures of the projects we will be making, posted over the weekend. So keep checking for updates. As always, the class cost is $5, but that fee is waived if you make a $25 purchase the night of the class. RSVPs are requested by the 23rd so that I can have your supplies ready for you.

Thanks everybody!

An the winner is...

I ust want to thank everybody who entered the raffle, and everyone that came out to make the Stamp-a-Stack a big success. I had so much fun on Saturday, and I hope that those of you who couldn't attend will be able to join us next time!

The winner of the raffle drawing was Nancy Jones! I had my husband pick the winner from a hat, and I had to laugh when he picked Nancy, because she really had her heart set on winning that Measure of a Life set. So, assuming that Nancy picks that set, this means that the Polka Dot and Paisley set will be up for grabs in a future giveaway.

Congratulations, Nancy. And thanks again everybody for making this weekend so much fun, and so successful!

Weekend Raffle!

Hey everybody!

I have decided to have a raffle this weekend to celebrate the holiday! For every $50 order (before shipping and taxes) that anybody places with me by 7pm on Monday, October 8th, I will enter their name into a drawing for a free stamp set. If you place a $100 order, you would get two entries into the raffle, and so on. The winner will get to choose one of the sets pictured here. Polka Dots & Paisley is a current set in the catalog that retails for $18.95, and Measure of a Life is a retired level two hostess set from last year's catalog.

Please contact me, if you would like to be entered into the raffle, to place an order. I accept personal checks, and credit cards.

World Card Making Day Promotion - Simply Sent Kits!

Tomorrow is World Card Making Day, and in honor of the occasion, Stampin' Up! is having a great deal on their Simply Sent Card Kits. Today through October 8th (Monday) these kits will all be 20% off! The kits make a wonderful gift for someone who is new to stamping, they are a great investment for anyone wanting to make a large number of cards without spending a lot of money, and they are a wonderful value for anyone looking to make a batch of creative cards.

Each of the kits has a stamp set, and each stamp is die cut, so there is no trimming! Just punch out the stamps and put them on the wooden blocks - super easy! Everything that you need is included in the kit, and the contents of each kit are listed in the Winter catalog. I have a picture of the Friendship Shapes kit posted here. Everything from the ribbon and cardstock to the inks, markers, and envelopes is included in the kit, as well as a set of detailed instructions for making each card, and all put into a gift box.

If you are looking for Christmas gifts, or have been eyeing some of the stamp sets included in the kit, or if you are looking to make twenty or thirty quick and easy cards, this is the time to buy. These kits very rarely go on sale. I've been stocking up on them myself this weekend!

So please email me if you would like to purchase any of the kits during this promotion. I will be placing an order Monday evening at 7pm, so please let me know by then if you are interested. :)

This is my newest creation. It's called a Criss Cross card. It is pretty easy to make, but you do need to use 12X12 cardstock for this one. The card doesn't open like a conventional one would, instead there is a pull out in the center of the card (with one of the rounded tab punches that I love) that slides in and out. I like this kind of card especially around the holidays because it is the perfect card for adding pictures of the family. It is a little more time consuming, but is nice for those close friends or family members that you want to send something a little special. Obviously this one wasn't done with Christmas papers, but check out SCS and you'll find all sorts of gorgeous examples of this card in the gallery made with our wonderful Christmas designer papers. Check out SCS under resources and 'criss cross card' for full directions (and step by step pictures!) on how to create these awesome cards!

So by now you have all probably been through your winter mini catalogs a hundred times (and for anybody that hasn't been able to see it, you can access it on stampinup.com or if you'd like your own free copy, please contact me!). This year, Stampin' Up! has branched out into designer wrapping papers, and they are beautiful! There are three different sets of wrapping paper, and I must say that after seeing them in person, I'm thinking that I need to get all of them. Not only do they make some beautifully wrapped packages under the tree, but they work really nicely as patterned papers for your cards (and you get them in bulk!) The papers are thinner than a patterned paper, but they feature the Stampin' Up! color palletes, so they coordinate wonderfully with our cardstock, ink, and ribbon colors. Here are some of the samples I've made with the wrapping paper. If you are looking to make a great amount of Christmas cards this year, and want a lot of patterned paper at an inexpensive price (2 rolls are $17.95) this could be a way to go!
