On to the Next Thing :)

Hi Everybody,

I just want to thank everyone for making this past weekend such a success! I had a lot of fun working with the ladies attending the Stamp-a-Stack, and visiting with the ladies attending the Open House!

I wanted to let everyone know that I am forming a stamping club in the Johnstown area. The club is open to anyone who would like to join. Each person in the club takes a turn being the hostess and earning free stamps and merchandise. Each member will pledge to spend $25 each month (including months when they may not be able to attend) in an order, and each month we will meet and make great projects!

I've had a lot of response already, and I want to thank everybody for their enthusiasm for the new club. If you have any questions, or would like to join, please contact me. We are hoping to start the club in September.

If you have already contacted me, I will be sending out emails with more details about the club and what it entails, and trying to set up a day to meet.

This month we will be starting up the technique classes again. We will meet on the last Thursday of each month at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Richland. Anyone can attend, and the cost is $5.00 (waived with a $25 order placed at the class) This month we will be making a waterfall card (which is an interactive card). We will meet for class on Thursday, the 28th at 7pm. Please RSVP to me if you would like to attend by Tuesday the 26th so that I can have materials cut for you.

And last but not least, I wanted to announce the winner of the big raffle from the Open House! Kathy Bortz was our big winner, and she will be able to pick out any level three hostess set from the new catalog! I will have another raffle at the next SAS which is scheduled for Sunday, September 7th. More details about that will be upcoming so be watching here!

Thanks, everybody!

Last of the pictures!

Stamp-A-Stack Pictures

Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to post pictures of the projects we'll be making at the SAS on the 17th. There are spots available, so please contact me if you'd like to attend. Anyone that prepays by the 14th will pay only $25 for the event. Anyone paying after that date will pay $30.

We'll be doing something a little different this time. We'll be making two each of six different cards, and I've attached pictures of all of them in this posting.

Also, I have added more retired stamp sets to my earlier blog post that I will have for sale at the event. If you want me to hold something specific aside for you, please contact me and let me know. I'll also have retired patterned papers and cardstock sticker sheets on sale for $.25 a sheet, and I'll have assortments of ribbons and hardware for sale.

There will be light refreshments, and of course, the new catalog so please stop by at any time to peruse the catalog or to place an order to receive your catalog for free! See my earlier posts for more details about my raffle giveaway for a level three hostess set from the new catalog.

Thanks everybody!

News from Stampin' Up!

Hi everybody,

This week has been the national conference for Stampin' Up! so all sorts of awesome things coming in the new catalog have been announced (and those at convention have gotten a new catalog to look at - lucky ducks!). I couldn't afford to fly out to Utah and attend so I am not getting to see it all for myself, but if you've been on Splitcoast, you know that lots of awesome stuff has been announced! Here are just a few things coming up:

We now have an exclusive deal with Sizzix! We will be selling the big shot die cut machine, and we will have sizzix and sizzlet dies that match and complement our stamp sets! The big shot is compatible with all other dies out there, including Quickutz, Cuttlebug, and Nestabilities (we will even have our own embossing folders in the near future). We'll be selling vinyl and chipboard by the sheet now because you can cut all these (and even acrylic!) with the big shot! I can't tell you how excited I am to start demoing with some of these great products!

We also will have lots more of the decor elements coming in the early fall, and in lots of different colors. Very cute for home decorating or for altering items!

A couple other things I've seen are a new camping set and a wheel with mosquitos on it, some beautiful new background sets, really fun Christmas sets, and a few favorites from last year's mini catalog are back in case you didn't get to purchase them the first time around.

Also, the Tart n Tangy stamp set is back, this time in the main catalog, so be expecting to see that used a lot by me! And there are a lot more of smaller stamp sets of four stamps with that really nice lower price tag!

So be on the lookout for more news from me sometime during the week. I am actually out of town this weekend at a scrapbooking convention in the Philly area, so I won't have a lot of time to update until I get my bearings back on Monday or Tuesday. But if you want to hear all the scoop, just look in the Splitcoast forums under 'convention 2008' and you can get all the dirt!

Thanks everyone!
